My Favorites This Month

This is a great tale. A total visualization page by page

My last ebay purchase of the year I swear. It’s  waterproof.

Sleeping soundly by putting a dab of sesame oil in my nostrils and keeping wheat out of my belly.

Extraterrestial trash talking with Boodiba Queen of the East Village.

My beautiful Baby Turns 29 on the 29th.

Peak foliage driving to and from the shala on 106.

Yoga workshop detailed notes shared on the blogosphere. Thanks Savasana Addict & Pakistani Ashtangi.

  1. Ohhh, you’re most welcome for the workshop notes. I ramble a fair bit so I’m glad that someone out there finds it helpful 🙂

Happy birthday to your Beautiful Baby, and can you share more about the benefits of sesame oil?

  2. Thank You D & Claudia. TMI, but I have sort of a post nasal drip and it bothers me at night. I saw a Kimberly Flynn video where she recommended dabbing some unrefined expeller pressed sesame or light olive oil on each nostril, then breathing it in to clear your sinuses, and like they used to say when I was little: Santo remedio (holy remedy).

  3. So happy to hear you’ve been enjoying our practice notes! I always feel a bit stupid posting them, always doubt whether anybody cares. So it’s nice to hear that somebody does!

And a very happy birthday to your lovely daughter! She appears to be the same age as me actually, and a few times when you’ve written about her in the past you’ve reminded me that I’m probably not always be as understanding as I might of my mother’s agony about my living so far away… A very useful change of perspective!

  4. Ha ha! I think you guys came to us to train us in the futility if agonizing…. as for the workshop notes, detailed ones are precious. when I take my own notes, they are so cryptic that I wonder later what in the world I meant.
